2018 School Budget

The 2018 Mohawk School Budget season has begun.

On Feb. 1 the School Committee made a presentation in the Mohawk Auditorium that was open to the public.

Falls Cable taped the meeting and the video can be found in the School Committee section of the Town Government menu at the top of this page.

More sub-committee meetings are scheduled over the next few weeks.

Spelling Bee

The 11th annual Mary Lyon Spelling Bee was held on Nov. 10, 2016.

Audio problems were encountered in the auditorium, thus, this is not the complete Spelling Bee.

Look for the video in the Other category in the above Shows pull-down menu.

Democratic State Senate Primary Debate

The three candidates for the Berkshire-Franklin-Hampshire-Hampden State Senate district appeared at the Mohawk Trail High School auditorium for a debate on Thursday Sept. 1, sponsored by the Greenfield Recorder and the League of Women Voters. The primary to choose the Democratic candidate in the Nov. election will be held on Sept. 8. The debate was live-streamed to the Recorder and Daily Hampshire Gazette web sites.

In the Shows pull-down menu at the top of the page choose Other and you’ll find a link to the debate.

A Visit With…Arctic Moth

I recently visited with the musicians in the group Arctic Moth. They describe their music as a combination of electronica and neo-classical. They will be playing their original score behind the silent film Man With a Movie Camera on Aug. 19 and 20 as part of Pothole Pictures in Memorial Hall.
